What free gets you
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent: instead of only answering questions, it can do multi-step tasks for you, like research, reminders, documents, reservations and shopping, after you approve the important steps. The free version has a usage limit that refreshes, so heavy users run out first.
You use it in the Muse app on iPhone, Android or Mac, at muse.ai, or inside WhatsApp. You sign in with a Meta account; you can create one with Facebook, Instagram, or an email address or phone number.
What paid plans cost
From Meta's subscriptions help page: Power, $20 a month (500M Muse tokens a week) and Maximum, $100 a month (3B Muse tokens a week). "Tokens" are just Meta's way of measuring usage: more tokens, more work Muse can do each week.
Plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to subscribe.
Do you need to pay?
Start free. Agents use up allowance faster than plain chat because they work through many steps, so try a few small tasks first and watch how much you use. If you just want answers and writing help, a free chat tool like ChatGPT or Gemini may be all you need.
